Philippines-India Business Council participates in INDEE Philippines event under EECP (India Gala Dinner)

75 Indian firms came to the Philippines to scout for trade and investment deals through the INDEE Flagship Event, organized by EEPC India, supported by the Commerce Ministry of India from August 22 to 25, 2018. The INDEE Flagship Event coincides with the International Metalworking Expo which was held from 28-31 August 2018. 


According to EEPC senior vice-chairman, Mahesh K. Desai, 75 entrepreneurs will be presenting different kinds of smart manufacturing technologies, industrial supply, industrial and electrical machinery, metal-cutting and sheet-metal machinery, etc. And for the first time, this event will be held in Manila, and will contribute significantly to India’s total exports to the Philippines; with India’s engineering exports to the Philippines growing up to USD 670.43 million within 2017-18. Mr. Desai also stated the focus of the bilateral commercial investment shouldn’t only focus on Trade, but on investment as well. Among key Indian groups that are well-established in the Philippines are the Aditya Birla Group, Ispat Group, Tata and Mahindra.
