PIBC Chairman meets with soon to be Commercial Officer for India

Mr. Johnny Chotrani, Chairman of the Philippines-India Business Council met with Mr. Eugenio Elevado last October 29, 2019 to discuss several topics including the promotion of Indian businesses in the Philippines. Mr. Elevado reached out to the Chairman of the PIBC for possible collaborations in bringing Indian businesses in the country. According to him, while there are existing Indian companies in the country, local companies still need more help in entering more Indian businesses.


Mr. Eugenio Elevado who is soon to be posted as the Outgoing Commercial Officer for India; was also the Commercial Counselor at the Philippine Trade Investment Center in Osaka,  the representative office of the Department of Trade and Industry in Japan. Currently, he also serves as a Trade Service Officer of the Foreign Trade Service Corps of the Department of Trade and Industry  in the Philippines.  


During the meeting, the gentlemen discussed the promotion of businesses, transportation, infrastructure,  healthcare, and agriculture. This meeting served as an opportunity for both parties to for future partnerships. The PIBC looks forward to the possible collaborations as it strives to be the bridge between the Philippines and India.
